looking back...

from January 1st, 2011

"I can remember standing at the bottom of the stairs at Luna Park, Sydney (June 2010) and looking at
them in dismay. I gave Mark my camera bag, told him to go ahead and I'd meet him at the top.
I struggled up those stairs, my breathing was labouring heavily, my legs felt like jelly and I clutched the
sides and pulled myself up. My chest actually ached when I reached the top and I wondered if I would
have a heart attack. When we flew home the sides of the seat were literally digging in to me and I had to
contort my body to do up the seatbelt and I spent the entire flight with it strangling me.
What was I doing to myself :(

New me. I'm tempted to fly back to Sydney and run up those stairs just because I know I could now :)"

Sydney - August 2011. I ran those stairs three times :)

a while between posts.....

I've been so incredibly busy with work that I haven't had time to dedicate to this blog.

I've got so much I want to say and I've been waiting for that "large block of time" to get my thoughts down.

Blah - never going to happen! LOL

Health is going okay. I had a serious loss of motivation and determination (winter-blues?)
but I made an appointment with my Psychologist to talk through quite a few things.
(She's Endocrine based, so knows a LOT about what I'm dealing with)

The appointment ended with that fire back in my belly and the desire to move things again.

I signed up for the Michelle Bridges 12 week body transformation -

It starts in September and I'm excited for it to begin.

I've also made the decision to give up my "MILK" drinks. (Latte, Cappuccino, Chai Latte)
I'd been having as many as five a day (trim milk.....but still - that's a lot of milk!)
So two days ago I went cold turkey (history has shown that's what works best for me :)

I do miss them and I've noticed since I've stopped that they were filling me up.
Drinking lots more water now.

a day in the life.....

Here's what a normal day looks like to me...(click to view)

Of course, I have more to drink that that (usually two "milk" drinks like coffee or chai and lots of tea)
I try to have lots of water, but prefer something warm at the moment.

Twelve months today since I started my "healthy me" journey. I would say for the most part it's been easy.
Truly. I just did what had to be done.

I'm still the exact same weight that I have been for the last few weeks LOL (to the .6)
but I have started actively exercising again.
My body shape is changing again (knickers are looser LOL)
I bought a new dress to inspire myself.
It's snug fitting and I'd like my hips and bottom to be a little smaller before I wear it.
(6 weeks) I'm sure I can get there :)

It's unlike anything I've EVER worn in my life - eek! Nervous and excited at the same time.
It was exactly what I was looking for.
